1. Age Requirement

The App is not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly gather personal information from anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly serve personalized advertising to users under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at help@sunnysideau.com, and we will promptly delete such information.

2. Information We Gather

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

We may receive information that you voluntarily share with us, including:

• Customer-support inquiries (your email address, description of the issue, and any attachments you submit);
• Responses to surveys, feedback forms, or promotional events.

2.2 Information Gathered Automatically

When you use the App, certain technical data is gathered automatically to help us operate and improve the Service:

• Device information: device model, manufacturer, operating system version, screen resolution, and App version;
• Network information: IP address (not stored on a long-term basis), network type (Wi-Fi, cellular), and carrier;
• Identifiers: Google Advertising ID (GAID), Android ID, and a randomly generated universally unique identifier (UUID) used for analytics and advertising purposes. You may reset or disable your Advertising ID through your device settings;
• Usage data: feature-interaction events (e.g., which buttons are tapped, which features are accessed), session duration, and general in-app behavior patterns;
• Performance metrics: connection speed, error reports, crash logs, and diagnostic data used to maintain service quality.

2.3 VPN-Specific Data Practices

When you use the VPN feature, the following technical data may be processed to maintain and optimize connectivity:

• Connection timestamps: the time you connect to and disconnect from a VPN server, used solely for diagnostics and abuse prevention; these are not linked to your browsing activity;
• Bandwidth consumption: aggregate data-transfer volume per session, used for capacity planning;
• Device hash: a randomly generated identifier that is not linked to your browsing history or personal identity, used to enforce device-level connection limits;
• Server selection: which VPN server location you connect to.

We do not associate any of the above with your browsing destinations or traffic content. This no-browsing-log commitment applies specifically to your activity while connected to our VPN servers; it does not limit the separate advertising-related data described in Section 2.4 below, which our advertising and mediation partners gather independently in connection with the ads they display.

2.4 Advertising-Related Information

The App displays in-app advertisements through third-party advertising networks and mediation platforms (listed in Section 5). These partners, and the mediation layer that coordinates between them, may independently gather or receive the following categories of information in order to select, deliver, and measure the performance of ads shown within the App:

• Advertising identifiers: GAID and comparable device advertising IDs, used to measure ad performance and limit repeat ad display;
• Device and app information: device model, operating system version, language and locale settings, and IP address, used for ad-serving and fraud-prevention purposes;
• Ad-interaction data: impressions, clicks, view duration, and conversion events, used for bidding, frequency capping, and campaign reporting;
• Approximate location: derived from IP address or, where you have granted permission, device location, used to serve geographically relevant ads.

Each advertising and mediation partner processes this information under its own privacy policy, linked in Section 5. Where required by applicable law, we request your consent before enabling personalized advertising, and you may opt out of interest-based ads through your device's advertising settings.

2.5 Information from Third-Party Sources

We may receive limited information from trusted third parties, such as:

• Attribution and referral data from advertising, mediation, or analytics partners;
• Security-threat intelligence used to improve our virus-scanning and protection features.

3. How We Use Your Information

We employ the information we gather for the following purposes:

• Service delivery: to provide, maintain, and operate the App's cleaning, security-scanning, and VPN features;
• Support: to respond to your inquiries and resolve technical issues;
• Improvement: to analyze usage patterns, diagnose problems, and develop new features;
• Security: to detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access;
• Advertising: to operate, display, and measure in-app advertisements through our advertising and mediation partners (Section 5), including frequency capping and campaign reporting; where required by law, this is subject to your consent;
• Communication: to send important service-related notices (we do not send promotional emails without your consent);
• Legal compliance: to fulfill our legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service;
• Aggregated insights: to generate de-identified, aggregate statistics that cannot be traced back to individual users.

4. Disclosure of Information

We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. Sharing advertising identifiers with the advertising and mediation partners below to enable personalized ads may be considered a "share" under certain data-protection laws (such as the CCPA/CPRA); where applicable, you may exercise your right to opt out as described in Section 10. We may disclose your data in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: trusted third-party vendors who assist us with analytics, attribution, cloud infrastructure, and customer support, each bound by contractual obligations to protect your data;
• Advertising and mediation partners: the advertising networks and mediation platforms listed in Section 5, which receive advertising identifiers and ad-interaction data to deliver and measure in-app ads;
• Legal requirements: when required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request;
• Safety and rights: when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of our users, defend our rights, or prevent fraud;
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, in which case your information may be transferred to the successor entity;
• Aggregated data: we may share de-identified, aggregated information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

5. Third-Party Analytics, Advertising & Mediation SDKs

The App integrates the following third-party services for analytics, attribution, advertising, and ad-mediation purposes. Advertising and mediation partners may collect and process advertising identifiers and ad-interaction data as described in Section 2.4:

These third-party services may gather information in accordance with their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review their respective policies. The specific set of advertising and mediation partners active at any given time may vary as we optimize ad delivery.

6. Permissions & On-Device Access

To deliver its core functionality, the App may request the following device permissions:

You may manage these permissions at any time through your device's system settings. Revoking certain permissions may limit the App's functionality.

7. Data Security

We implement a combination of administrative, organizational, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including:

• Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest where applicable;
• Access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis;
• Regular security assessments and monitoring.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer required, we delete or de-identify it in accordance with our internal data-management procedures.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to — and processed in — countries other than your country of residence in order to support our operations. Data-protection laws in these countries may differ from those in your home jurisdiction. When we transfer personal data internationally, we implement appropriate safeguards to ensure your information remains protected in accordance with this Policy.

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information under applicable data-protection laws, including:

• Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• Correction: ask us to rectify inaccurate or incomplete information;
• Deletion: request that we delete your personal data, subject to certain legal exceptions;
• Restriction: ask us to limit the processing of your information in certain circumstances;
• Objection: object to the processing of your personal data for specific purposes;
• Portability: receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format;
• Withdrawal of consent: where processing is based on consent, withdraw that consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing);
• Opt-out of personalized advertising: opt out of the sharing of advertising identifiers with advertising and mediation partners for personalized-ad purposes, including through your device's advertising settings (e.g., "Opt out of Ads Personalization") or, where applicable, by submitting a request as described below;
• Complaint: lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your jurisdiction.

11. Cookies & Similar Technologies

The App and any associated web properties may use cookies, pixel tags, and similar tracking technologies to gather usage information and improve your experience. You can control cookie preferences through your browser or device settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain features of the Service.

12. Updates to This Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
